Xiaonan SUN

My research topic is aiming at the engineer and the fabrication of novel functionalized supramolecular architectures. Depending on the expected functionality of the surface organizations, specific designed organic molecules will be organized through molecular self-assemblies on various surfaces. The surface organization and their resulted surface/interface properties will be investigated by means of scanning tunneling microscopy. Some of the architectures are expected to have interesting chemical (for example electrochemical properties) or physical properties.
